"I was seeking a new PCP because I wanted to support a black female physician. Quaneshia was referred to be by a very close friend. She was everything my heart desired and more. She is so knowledgeable, down to earth, and relatable. She took her time during my visit and allowed me to ask questions. "

"I recently had a visit with Nurse Farris a week ago as a follow-up to my emergency heart surgery post-op appointment that I had with her in December. My daughter and I waited in the exam room an hour before she even came in (although the waiting room was empty upon my arrival), once she came in she cited that she thought that I'd come in for elevated blood pressure (which is was at the time the nurse checked it 140/90). She then proceeded to ask me how things were going and the first thing that I wanted to talk to her about was the mouth ulcers that I had developed due to taking a certain medication Amlodipine. I've been on this medication before and it always makes my mouth break out. I had even stated this to her on my very first visit with her in October, and asked was there something else that I could be put on, which she did put me on Irbertasan at the time. She then asks me why I felt that , to which I replied that I had been it before and it made my mouth break out. So she says ...
that she would take me off of the Amlodipine and increase the Irbertasan from 150mg to 300mg. Then she gets up to listen to my breathing and takes a look in my mouth. Once she sees the ulcers she says "Ooohhh" and then asked if they were painful, to which I replied very. She sits down and immediately asks me if I had a history of Herpes because that's what they look like. Now keep in mind that my daughter was in the room with me and not one time did Nurse Farris ask if it was ok to discuss personal things in front of my daughter. At first, I was embarrassed, then angry that she would be so inconsiderate and dismissive to do that. What if I didn't want my daughter to hear that? What about my right privacy? She should've never asked me that that way. She then said that she would send in a new prescription for the Irbertasan and some kind of mouthwash and that she was also ordering a blood test to check for Herpes, then she left out of the room. I didn't get a chance to finish discussing with her what the plan was to get my blood pressure lower than what it was, or to discuss how I was doing with the anti-depressant or sleeping pill that she had put me on when I was there for my post-op appointment. She didn't recheck my blood pressure. She didn't even set me up for another follow-up for later to see how things were working out and if something else will need to be done. It honestly felt as if she didn't even go over my chart at all before coming into the exam room. I left feeling dismissed, disheartened and like I didn't matter. I am still in recovery from having open heart surgery, the last thing I need is for my blood pressure to stay elevated and to deal with a health care professional that is not on board with helping me to get back to health as possible. I will NOT be going back to her again, but she really should work on her bedside manner. And by the way, my tests came back negative, which I knew they would but there is still no resolve with that either. "

"I wish I it was a 10 star rating because I will give her a 10 stars. No matter what I come visit her for she greets me with a smile and shows geniue compassion. She has the best personality you could ever ask for in a NP because she does not make you feel like you are just a patient. I can go on and on about her great qualities. I would highly recommend her to anyone that is experiencing mental and physical health concerns because she knowledgeable and you will not be disappointed with your outcome. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
