"Disclaimer: I made a LOT of dumb calls and ignored red flags at many steps that could have saved me a ton of heartache and two of my teeth. But make no mistake, Pourang "Paige" Gaznavi and her team are intentional, predatory psychopaths (that includes the seemingly nice front desk lady Mary). I found several doctors from Rock Creek Dental on my insurer's website and called to make an appointment due to extreme pain from some toothaches. First mistake: I didn't realize Gaznavi wasn't listed on the insurance website (3 other dentists who don't actually work at this location were listed, but the phone numbers and address matched so I was just eager to resolve my pain). Second mistake: not asking for a second opinion or calling my insurance to clarify why the "post-insurance" quote for the two crowns they said I needed was so damn high. Gaznavi just made some bumbling comment about how dental insurance sucks compared to other insurance (at no point was it brought up that they were not in-network ...
with my insurer). They never gave me an option about the crowns, they just told me this was what they would do for two of my bigger cavities. I later found out from my insurance company that the claims showed the crowns were not medically necessary. Basically, they cut up two of my teeth because they're money-hungry. The funniest part of this ordeal, when I called in to express my frustration about this, sweet little Mary at the front desk had a clear sneer and laugh in her voice when telling me I signed off on all the papers (admittedly not under duress, but in extreme pain). You know what they call people who enjoy the suffering of others? Sadists. I finally got my wits about me when Gaznavi told me to leave a 5 star review on Google. I've never been asked this by a medical professional, so I looked at the reviews and most were very concise, but I decided to look at the bad reviews. And then I realized, in my haste to alleviate my tooth pain, I never cross-referenced Yelp (what a horrible millenial I am). Let me just say, there is no doubt in my mind that all of the horrible reviews are completely accurate. Stay far away. "
