Nandana Mapakshi, MD, received her medical degree from Osmania Medical Collage in Hyderabad, India. She came to the United States in 2004 and finished her residency at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Mapakshi completed her fellowship in 2011 at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and VA in Los Angeles, Ca.
Dr. Mapakshi worked as a clinical instructor and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the UCLA Medical Center before moving to Texas in 2013.
She has collaborated on several works involving renal transplant and cardiovascular events in patients. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, biking and traveling with her husband and two children.
