"I have had so many bad experiences with doctors misdiagnosing me all my life, but my experience with Dr. Warra was the worst (over a year ago).
I went to Dr. Warra with some troubling symptoms I had been experiencing for a long time. Prior to the visit I had other testing done on heart, lungs, etc. We did an EEG and MRI and they came back normal. I was written off as someone with anxiety issues manifesting as physical symptoms and was sent to get mental help, which has been a nightmare in and of itself.
I am a recovering addict. Over the 1.5+ years since I saw Warra I was put on various psychiatric meds that didn't work for me (because I never had generalized anxiety disorder to begin with). I also relapsed after covid lockdown began trying to treat my symptoms. Covid also resulted in me being unemployed and losing my health insurance not too much later. (still the case on both counts)
It was in rehab I saw a doctor who immediately recognized what my medical problem probably is AS SOON ...AS I DESCRIBED THE SYMPTOMS TO HER.
I have POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome). After I had a chance to research it I knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that this was indeed the problem. However, Dr. Warra, a neurologist, the very sort of specialist that can diagnose this disorder, either failed me completely or just doesn't give a shit.
Now I need to see a neurologist or cardiologist AGAIN to get an official diagnosis through tilt-table test or otherwise, but not I don't have healthcare or the income to do so. Thank you, Dr. Warra, for your lack of insight. You single-handedly set me on a downward spiral both mentally and physically. (Still sober since rehab in March though everyone) "Read more
