"My primary orthopedic surgeon referred me to Dr Michael D Smith when I had severe neck pain and could not lift my head upright. I found Dr Smith aloof and uncaring. He was unable to diagnose my problem and seemed uninterested. At our final appointment he said “I don’t see a problem, besides, it’s only pain”. What a horrible way for a doctor to respond. The pain slowly subsided over the next few months. Unfortunately, I was left with permanent nerve damage to my left arm, as well as significant muscle atrophy to my triceps and forearm. By the time I was referred to a different doctor, it was too late to stop or reverse the damage. I will have to live with the results of his incompetence for the rest of my life."
