"I was having a pretty emotional pregnancy and my regular doctor was out of town so I ended up with Dr. Nielson. He was so kind, listened better than almost any doctor I have ever had and took such great care of me. Because I was in such a bad place mentally, I needed a doctor that was willing to put in some extra time and really talk to me. Dr. Nielson did just that and curbed many of my fears. He ended up delivering my baby and I am happy he was there. He took really great care of both of us. "

"In 2019, I had established care with Dr. Neilson, since I had just moved to the area. I felt pretty disrespected. I felt that I was wasting his time, and he made irritated remarks to my fairly lengthy lists of health troubles. Dr. Neilson gave me a referral to a specialist, updated my prescriptions, and he ordered an annual blood test. I haven’t seen him again in ~9 months since I don’t think he cares much. It was late in the afternoon, and perhaps it was a bad day for him. It was an hours drive for me, and I really needed help. Insult to injury, my insurance didn’t properly cover the annual bloodwork as preventative care, and I was charged $363 out of $488 of the total cost. Staff in billing suggested that I need to talk to my physician as an attorney to get billed properly. I was hopeful to support a smaller business, such as San Juan Health, but I do not feel as they care about their patients as I had expected a rural Utah clinic would. I feel sincere disappointment."

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
