OVERVIEW
Michael K. McLeod, MD, MBA, FACS, FACE, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified endocrine surgeon. He is a professor and chief of endocrine surgery in the Department of Surgery at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. He currently serves as chief of staff of Sparrow Hospital. Dr. McLeod has a long and distinguished track record as an endocrine surgeon and a surgical educator, including the publication of numerous papers on both subjects.
Dr. McLeod is a graduate of Weil Cornel Medical College in New York, NY. He went on to complete a general surgery residency at University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI. He then completed a research fellowship in endocrine surgery at Rhode Island Hospital at Brown University in Providence, RI
In addition, Dr. McLeod is board-certified from the American Board of Surgery in general surgery. He also earned a master’s in business administration from The Eli Broad Graduate School of Management.
Dr. McLeod's …clinical interests include adrenal diseases, parathyroid, and thyroid. His research focuses on hyperparathyroidism, surgical quality & hospital performance and patient engagement.
