OVERVIEW
Dr. Magpile joined Scripps Clinic in 1993 after having spent five years at the University of California, Los Angeles, completing his internal medicine residency and subsequent fellowship in general internal medicine. Dr. Magpile earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee in 1988, where he graduated with honors. He served his residency at the UCLA- San Fernando Valley Program, rotating through the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, V.A. Hospital in Sepulveda, and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills. Dr. Magpile was a Kennamer Fellow in general internal medicine at UCLA and later served as a clinical instructor for the School of Medicine. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine and teaches residents at Scripps Clinic. He is board certified in internal medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians.
