Dr. Michael Charles Defilippis

Dr. DeFilippis completed his undergraduate education in chemistry at George Washington University. He was recipient of the American Institute of Chemists award in 1981. He taught chemistry at George Washington University while pursuing his graduate studies in dentistry at Georgetown University. Upon completion at Georgetown University, Dr. DeFilippis was one of six dentists in the country chosen to do a one-year residency at the prestigious Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York. While at Eastman, he was in charge of research projects invo lving the use of lasers for treating tooth decay. Dr. DeFilippis had been a member of the Nassau County Board of Directors for over twenty years. He also participates regularly in continuing education classes as a member of the New York Dental Forum. The doctor enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include music, sports, model trains and camping.
