"Review of Dr. Melissa Estes, Palm Beach Orthopedic Institute. Unquestionably the rudest physician I’ve ever had. Dr. Estes is condescending, intentionally curt, and unwilling to spend any time listening or explaining your condition. Not quite what you’d expect from a “pain specialist“. When asked a directly relevant clinical question, she simply turns her head, not her body, squints her eyes and scows at you over her shoulder as if to say “how dare you ask me a question?!” Through the medical process I was funneled back to her office a few times over the past two years. I assure you I will find another physicians group moving forward. If you find yourself using Palm Beach Orthopedic Institute, and now after reading all of her reviews, why would you trust a medical group who employs her, be sure to NOT get Dr. Estes. "Dr. Estes has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. She mocks concerns, is rude, speaks in a condescending manner, and talks over you. This is a shame being that this is not how the other doctors conduct themselves. See anyone but her."

"Worst doctor ever. Rushed, does not like answering questions. Rude and unprofessional. She should not be a doctor. She does not allow anyone into the room with you. She claims it’s because of Covid but her nurse and the receptionists are not wearing masks. She does not want evidence of how unhelpful she really is. Not interested in past back surgeries. She cuts you off when you are explaining things. There are plenty of great doctors out there DONT go to her "

"Dr. Estes and her assistant rushed through the entire appointment. I found both her and her staff to be unhelpful, uncaring, inept and unqualified to diagnose my injury. She referred me to physical therapy and after 10 visits over 5 weeks and diligently doing my exercises at home I feel like my injury is worse. She has wasted my time and probably caused my injury to get worse. "

"My very first visit to the Palm Beach Orthopaedic Institute was substandard and worsened my condition. I was unable to sleep afterward for two additional days after lower back pain already had kept me from sleeping for three days. Plus, I had just recovered from a severe respiratory infection, which had me bed-ridden for a full week with a high fever before my back pain kicked in. Under these circumstances, the doctor should have told me upfront that she does not prescribe pain and anti-inflammatory medication before giving me an absolutely useless trigger point shot. The muscle relaxer prescribed wasn’t enough either. In fact, I thought I must have accidentally taken the wrong medication. Not so. You refused my subsequent request for back pain medication, demanding that I first go to physical therapy and get an MRI. By that time, I hadn’t slept for six days! I was way too sick to start physical therapy. I thought I’d be forced to go the hospital emergency room during a pandemic. Fortunately, ...
I was able to get an emergency appointment with my primary care physician, who had my previous back X-ray on file. He prescribed 12 tablets of Hydrocodone-acetamin and Methyl Prednisolone tables. I finally was able to recover enough after a few days to begin physical therapy. "
