"For an unexplained reason, she set all of my appointments a month apart; the first was understandable due to just getting into her schedule, but no rationale was given for the later times. I gave her the benefit of the doubt for this maybe having therapeutic reasons. Her quote when setting a next appointment was "scheduling...and other reasons." More concerning was her consistently forgetting important things we'd talked about earlier. She also struggled with jumping to conclusions, then asking if her quick conclusions were correct, and visibly seemed to be confused if I told her that it didn't seem right & offered more information. After each session she would look confused & asked hesitantly if I wanted to meet again. I'd been working hard to keep going to sessions, go with the flow & not unnecessarily come up with objections. I don't think this struggle is unusual for patients, but she seemed to be confused by lack of enthusiasm from me? The last session ended after I declined ...
to make another appointment, she gave me a handout defining emotions and ended the session 10 minutes early. This seemed really basic considering we'd been going over that and similar in our sessions. I didn't make another appointment because my goals (that she thought were great when she heard them early on) had been met. She agreed they'd been met, but seemed confused why I wasn't continuing therapy. Communication with the patient would have been good at points like this, but I'd quit giving her process the benefit of the doubt by then. She seemed out of her depth & inexperienced. "
