"The other day I went to the ER after not getting better from an ongoing illness I have had. My lymph nodes have been incredibly swollen, I had an ongoing fever for 3 days and I have been incredibly fatigued. I ended up fainting at home that day, I called the doctor I had recently seen and she told me to go to the ER for blood work and fluids. I arrived at the ER and waited about 2 hours to get a room. After getting a room Physician Geers came into the room and did a swab of the back of my throat (even though my throat had not been hurting) then left the room. He came back an hour and a half later saying that I do not have step and I would be able to go home. This confused me to no end because the main reason for going to the ER was for fluids and bloodwork. I expressed how I really felt like I needed to have bloodwork done because it felt like I have mono or something. He then stated “well I really don’t think it’s necessary since I think all you have is a viral infection, but ...
if you want to have a little bit more of a pricey visit we can do blood work to make you feel better.” I then said I wanted the blood work done and an hour later he came back with the results that I tested positive for mono. I was highly frustrated with this physician and the team he was working with that day. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
