Meet Dr. Mitchell
Hello! My name is Matthew Mitchell and I am originally from Paducah KY, but I have lived in the Louisville area since 2000. I love working with children in the dental environment. Many times, they are funny and sweet and provide tremendous fun for the office. I have a strong passion and great amount of patience for treating the oral health care needs of children and strive to provide a comfortable, safe environment eliminating the fears often associated with medical and dental offices.
I received my Bachelors of Science (BS) degree from Murray State University and my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Louisville. I performed a one-year hospital residency at University Hospital in Louisville, KY. My Pediatric Dental Certificate was earned serving one year at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine Pediatric Dental Residency program and one year at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry Pediatric Dental Residency program. I have successfully completed Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses. Additionally, I am an active member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Kentucky Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association and the Louisville Dental Association.
Most of my personal time is spent with my wife, Morgan, an orthodontist in the Louisville area, and our two precious sons, Camden and Weston. Other hobbies include classic and custom cars, watching and playing baseball, relaxing with a good movie, and dining out.
