After graduating from The Citadel, Dr. McKissock graduated from the University of Florida's College of Dentistry. He spent the next year learning advanced general dentistry in a residency program at Fort Carson in Colorado, and during this time, he published an award-winning article in the prestigious Journal of the Academy of General Dentistry. This research helped mold his philosophy of reducing dental anxiety for his patients by eliminating pain.
Dr. McKissock also received intensive cosmetic training at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the premier postgraduate institution for cosmetic dental training, and he attended the world-renowned Pankey Institute. Following his studies in Colorado, Dr. McKissock worked as a dentist in the US military in Georgia and Kuwait. He then became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry due to his extensive postgraduate education and board testing.
On weekends, you can find Dr. McKissock outdoors, boating, golfing or just enjoying the warm Central Florida weather and spending time with his family. His wife, Kerry, a dental hygienist, works side-by-side with him, and the McKissock's have two daughters, Mattison and Elizabeth and a son, Jack.
