"Dr. Rosenthal saved me from using a colostomy bag for the rest of my life. He fixed a botched surgery from another hospital that completely dropped the ball. the reversal surgery should have been done in 2-3 hours, but instead of giving up he spent 9 hours strait working on correcting the issues and doing what needed to be done for his patient. I couldn't recommend him more."

"In 2017, Rosenthal performed a laparoscopic cholecystectomy on me. During the procedure, he tore a large section of my liver which he described as a "nick" to my wife. Instead of placing a bile drain or screening me for a bile leak into my abdomen, I was sent home from MGH. Within 36 hours, I had recurrence of severe abdominal pain and a liver scan showed that my left hepatic duct had been transected during the laceration. I was leaking bile into my abdomen. An emergency laparotomy removed 3 liters of bile and the laceration was discovered and photographed. I was on a morphine drip for 10 days of pure agony. Stay away from this guy like the plague."

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
