"I don’t understand all these hateful comments about Dr. Aizenman. I usually don’t leave reviews. But after seeing Dr. Aizenman’s good name being smeared, I need to say something. I saw Dr. Aizenman for a long time. She was always wonderful. She helped me with my issues unlike other therapists I saw before. I will forever be grateful for her professionalism and insight during the years I met with her. Be well, Dr. Aizenman! "

"Almost 40 years ago, on April 11, 1984, when I was a vulnerable 18-year-old Douglass College student with as yet undiagnosed PTSD and experiencing a crisis, Marta was the quintessential, unprofessional bully who did everything she could to put me down and trash me. She said, "Person X is up here (with a hand gesture high up), and you are down here." I almost dropped out of college because of the trauma she caused me. The passage of nearly 40 years has not mitigated the pain she caused me one bit. I will always be "higher up" than person X. I am a terrific actress and writer in spite of this quack."

"Dr. Aizenman’s conduct is shockingly unprofessional, especially from her advanced age (she’s 80) and the fact that she’s been practicing as long as she has. My partner and I went to see her and she wasted much of our time in intake filling out paperwork because she’s too lazy to email documents ahead of time. Then my partner (who has never been in therapy) opened up to her re: our concerns and two days later she canceled our treatment due to her “traveling”’after booking a second appointment with us. Her shaky hands didn’t take down his insurance information, so she proceeded to text him asking that he remit payment despite the fact that we spent almost no time talking to her and she provided us with no actual service or assistance. No one should be expected to pay $150 for nothing. She needs retire, she really does. Read other patient reviews. It’s shameful given her choice of profession. "

"I don’t know that I’ve ever encountered a therapist to be as unprofessional, unclear, brusque, and dishonest as Marta Aizenman. Please read her patient reviews carefully and avoid her like the plague. I am not ageist by any degree, but even her website is bogus. On it she appears to be a smiling, welcoming woman in her forties, but she is in fact eighty and anything but welcoming. My partner and I went to see her for premarital counseling and the most of the session in her cluttered den was spent on filling out insurance forms because she can’t be bothered to email them ahead of time. She made a small effort afterwards to hear our therapeutic goals and then called two days later to inform us that her travel schedule wouldn’t allow for new clients, after booking a second appointment with her. Despite not offering us any service or assistance, nor even a recommendation she then texted to ask my partner to please resubmit his insurance information, as she had dictated it inaccurately due ...
to her shaky hands. In other words, she was hubristic enough to actually believe that she was owed an additional $150 in addition to her co-pay for the privilege of meeting her. "

"I sought out Dr. Aizenman with my partner for pre-marital couples counseling. After our chastisement over entering the wrong driveway we spent a good deal of time filling out paper work ensuring her payment. She made a second appointment with us, but then decided that her traveling schedule wouldn’t allow for new clients. She then emailed my partner, whose insurance covered our overpriced meet and greet to alert him that she’d not taken down his information properly, and to please send it to her so that she could be paid the additional $150 to meet her. She is also extremely hard to discern, and possesses the warmth of a cobra. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
