Dr. Durand is the Director of Infectious Diseases at Mass. Eye and Ear and is also on staff at Mass General as an infectious disease physician. She hold board certifications in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
She has worked closely with ophthalmologists and otolaryngologists at Mass. Eye and Ear for 15 years. She sees inpatients admitted to MEEI who have serious infections, such as endophthalmitis or neck infections. She sees outpatients referred to her by their ophthalmologist, otolaryngologist, or primary care physician in her clinic devoted to such patients at Mass. General Hospital. She has published over 60 original articles and book chapters, primarily on infections of the eye, ear, nose and throat.
