Dr. Pettengill was very instrumental in developing all policies for sterilization methods in a hospital-based dental center, a standard required not only by OSHA and the Department of Health, but also by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospital Organizations (JCAHO). This is an exceptional asset of which we are so proud since hospitals are typically held to a higher standard than most dental centers. Please feel free to ask us about our methods when you visit. The Dental Center boasts of its six operatories, serving a current patient base of 4,000 patients. Affiliated with Providence Smiles, a dental-sealant program composed of dentists and hygienists providing preventive dental sealants to the Providence Public School System. Served as Clinical Preceptor to Tufts University dental students for four years.
