"Warning Long post. This is by far the worst Dr. I have ever encountered. For starters upon making an appointment. I was told that my first visit with her was a mandatory in person visit, but after that I could do some tele-health visits which is completely understandable. You have to get your lab work done and sign paper work, etc on your first visit. I showed up to my first appointment and got my blood work done and met with Dr.Makula. She sent over my prescription to the pharmacy. The prescription needed a PA. I called her office to inform the secretaries. I was told that the PA was initiated. 6 days went by. I called back because after 7 days the pharmacy will put your prescription back and the medication I needed was already very low in stock in Michigan as is. When I called I was then told that my insurance company denied my PA because I’d have to start a different medication instead, but I’d have to come in so she could start me on the medication. Why would I have to come in just ...
for you to prescribe me a medicine when I was just there not even a full three weeks ago and my blood work was completed. All she had to do was send the prescription over. So I ask her to see me via telehealth. She then had her staff reach out to me to inform me that my insurance company doesn’t allow telehealth visits because I can walk. Which is complete BS. I have telehealth visits weekly with my therapist. And also come to find out after calling my insurance company she never even initiated my PA. Stay away from this lady she’s very unprofessional and just a flat out liar. Go else where!! "
