Hospitalists are physicians who specialize in the care of hospitalized patients. The hospitalist will communicate with your primary care physician on a frequent basis while you are in the hospital. If you need to speak with your hospitalist while you or a member of your family is in the hospital, it is best to ask the nurse caring for you to contact the physician. "Dr is good. Could listen better. I never get to say everything I need to. His staff in Valpo is very argumentative. I have issues every month with scripts. I always make sure my meds are correct before leaving the office and I still had an issue yesterday. It was resolved in 24 hours, it was very late on a Friday afternoon.
