"I started with Dr. Mehrazin just over a year ago to continue migraine treatment when another doctor left the practice. Her attentiveness has been hit or miss at best and her willingness to help problem solve pop up headaches has been insulting. I don’t pretend to be an expert but I should be heard and when I tell her that I’m in pain I shouldn’t be told that I’m wrong or that there isn’t pain. On top of everything she never had my continued treatment approved by my insurance so I now owe thousands in medical bills that should have been 100% covered. "

"After my initial visit with the doctor, she asked to see me in 3-4 months for a follow-up visit. Accordingly, I scheduled the appointment 4 months in advance for her to cancel my visit on short notice. As a conciliation, the doctor and her staff offered to let me see a nurse practitioner in her practice if I wanted to keep my original appointment or wait to see the doctor in eight weeks. When I informed the doctor via MyChart that my migraines are getting worse and I would like to see her as soon as she returns to the office. Dr. Mehrazin told me she cannot accommodate me and that I should see another neurologist. It looks like this doctor is okay with canceling appointments on a whim and sending patients to the back of the line instead of trying to adjust her schedule to bring the patient in as soon as possible after the inconvenience of the cancellation. "I would definitely avoid this doctor, even if you have to wait. I had a very negative experience with her. I found her to be shockingly unprofessional, a little aggressive even, and did not present as particularly competent. She raised her voice with me throughout our appointment and became angered when I attempted to give her my background information and reason for referral. She then put in the clinical notes that I was a “poor historian.” Her rudeness was enough to bring me to tears during our appointment. When I cried she continued to yell at me and diagnosed me with depression and anxiety and demanded I tell her what I was going to do about these psychological diagnoses she just gave me. Many more problematic details happened during this session. I regret not taking her up on her offer when she initially threatened to cancel the appointment because in her words “I don’t need to deal with this [me asking if I could explain the symptoms that led to my neurology referral first and the explain my current symptoms.] The concerns are significant enough that I will be filing a complaint with the DoH licensing board. This was my experience while working with her through NYU Langone. "

"Beware booking with this doctor. In July I booked her first available, Nov 2. In mid-Sep they called to cancel because she was going to be "at a conference." I said that I wanted to reschedule, so they said they would call me back later that day. They never called back. When I finally got ahold of them 3 weeks later, the next available was in January, 6 months after I originally scheduled. I'm trying to have them look at a new condition that I feel is urgent. They wouldn't take into consideration that I scheduled in July, that they cancelled, or that they never called back. They said they had "no availability" - meanwhile she had no availability to attend a conference on Nov. 2, but that didn't stop her - she managed to schedule that while fully booked."

"Saw this provider at NYU. The worst. Pushy, condescending, overbearing and obnoxious. I think she liked the sound of her own voice more than anyone else’s. Truly unfortunate as NYU used to have a good headache/neurology team and now only has this one doctor. I imagine they’re having a difficult time hiring people if this was the best they could do — someone who is not a neurologist specializing in headaches (her predecessors did). Really a shame… Do yourself a favor and stay away from Dr. Mehrazin."

"The best"

"I wish I could give negative stars on this review- spent five minutes with me and was distracted with her cell phone, spoke over me, could not get a sentence or question out- was improperly diagnosed without any testing and mass prescribed seizure medication. Absurd. Despite her location being branded ny presb at Barclays, she is brooklyn Methodist backed. Feel like a clown to have rushed around to do appropriate testing for a severe diagnoses to discover it was a waste of time and money. All to do with a laceration in my leg and she did not to properly address that. Wish there was accountability for individuals who do not perform their job. I am insulted a year after still trying to seek help through the neurology clinic and will never give this individual another chance- will do anything to persuade new patients to avoid her. She had the audacity to include in my file notes that I’m tangential. To be direct with this review- her medical certification should be evaluated. Wonder what would have happened if I took the pills she pushed on my incorrectly. "
