OVERVIEW
Dr. Eichel is the Chief of the Rochester General Division of Urology. He is a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Board certified in urology, he completed his residency at the University of Rochester and completed two years of specialized fellowship training in laparoscopy, endourology and robotic surgery at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Eichel regularly teaches several postgraduate courses on advanced laparoscopic and robotic urologic surgery and has published numerous articles, book chapters and teaching videos in these areas. A recipient of the Pfizer Scholars in Urology Award, Dr. Eichel serves as an expert reviewer for the Journal of Urology and the Journal of Endourology, for which he has earned the honor of "Top Reviewer." His professional memberships include the Endourological Society, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and the American Urological Association.
