Dr. Blann has provided patient care for children, adolescents and the handicapped in the greater York and Adams County region since 1992 and as a pediatric specialist since 1996. Well acquainted with children and others with special needs, Dr. Blann was a teacher for elementary and learning disabled students for over 10 years prior to commencing her dental career. Her pre-dentistry studies included a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Towson State University, a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University, as well as pre-dental sciences at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1992 from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Dr. Blann completed her pediatric specialty training at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 1996.
Dr. Blann has also traveled to the Dominican Republic …to remote mountain villages to care for people who rarely get dental care for themselves or their children.
Dr. Blann continues to improve her skills by taking over 50 hours of continuing education per year. She and her staff regularly attend continuing education courses for CPR, infection control, and pediatric patient management.
Dr. Blann's area of interest is providing pediatric specialty care for very young or extremely fearful children and special needs children requiring general anesthesia or sedation to receive their dental care.

Dr. Blann has a Pennsylvania Restricted I Sedation license to provide Nitrous Oxide as well as oral or IV sedation. She is also certified in CPR, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as well.
Dr. Blann and Dr. Gordon are the founding partners of Progressive Dental Care Center as well as husband and wife.
