"I am 76 years ole and have gone to dentists all my life. I have never had as bad an experience ever as I had with Dr. Lewis. My grievances are many: 1. He refused to write up a proper report for my dental insurance, so my insurance (UHC) turned down what should have been a no brainer, if he had done his part in fully writing up his work. It took about 15 calls by me to his office, which he ignored. Finally, I called the main office of Coast Dental. The director required him to write a proper report to United Health Care, and then my dental work by him was covered. I had wasted many hours and lots of anguish trying to get him to do it. 2. A visit to his office meant first waiting in the waiting room for 1/2 hour or more and being in the dental chair for upwards of 2 hours for one procedure because he would work on 3 patients at one time, moving among them. 3. He does not perform just one service for a patient at each visit. He packs in as many procedures as he can. In ...
one office visit, he filled a cavity for me, put a crown on one tooth, and put a partial crown (onlay) on another tooth. Since my mouth had to be open for so long, I developed a problem with my jaw clicking which I until spending 3 hours at one time with my mouth fully open. 4. The onlay that he put on one of my molars, which cost me $600 to Coast Dental (my UHC insurance paid 50% of the total cost; $600 - the other 50% - was my copay), fell off one time. Dr. Lewis re-cemented it. After I moved out of FL, it fell off again. My new dentist re-cemented it, but it kept falling off. I will now have to spend $1500 for a full crown for that tooth, since the partial crown was too shallowly made according to my new dentist, and was continually falling out. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
