"If I could give zero stars to this woman I would. I work in healthcare, I am an ED RN and I also have a business degree in Hospitality Management- meaning I fully understand how hard it can be working with the general public and I know very well that mistakes can happen and things can get misconstrued. 1. There was a miscommunication at my mothers doctors office last year- she had to get a biopsy of a spot on her breast and she was told *before it was officially read* that it was nothing, because from the look of it the likelihood that it was something was low and they didn’t want her to wait the weekend in suspense. This practitioner called her the next week and when my mother told her that she was told it was benign, Laura yelled, VERY RUDELY, as my mother was DRIVING “ITS NOT BENIGN, YOU HAVE CANCER!” What a way to tell someone they have cancer, very professional. But okay, it wasn’t her fault it was miscommunicated. She handled it wrong but mistakes can happen. 2. Today my father, ...
recently diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer, goes in to get a wound checked that won’t heal and is causing him a great deal of pain. They went in last minute and she was the only provider available to see them (I wonder why). She was apathetic, rude, lazy, and overall not knowledgeable or helpful - once again. My parents are handling this as well as they can, and she completely made my mother break down after the appointment with how Laura conducted herself. When asked if they had saline to help clean the wound a little as they were nervous to do it themselves, she quickly shut it down and said no, saying they do not have SALINE at their office……. REALLY. When asked if she could help them try to get an appointment sooner at the wound clinic she rudely said “I mean, I guess.” From my understanding, there are other GREAT, knowledgeable and kind providers at this practice, so avoid this provider at all costs. Laura, why don’t you change to position where you don’t interact with patients - it seems that what you want anyway by the way you treat people. "
