Dr. Larry John Oesterle, DDS

Dr. Larry J. Oesterle Professor and Chair Dr. Larry Oesterle has more than 40 years experience in dentistry and orthodontics, and has been teaching orthodontics just as long. Dr. Oesterle attended the University of Northern Iowa as an undergraduate before entering the University of Iowa (BA degree), College of Dentistry (DDS degree). He completed a general practice internship at the Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, Lackland AFB, Texas. He then returned to the University of Iowa for his Orthodontic Residency and earned his MS and Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Oesterle is American Board of Orthodontics certified Dr. Oesterle holds numerous honors and awards for his achievements in orthodontics and beyond. He has been widely published for the important research contributions he has made to the field and continues in that tradition today as Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthodontics.
