Dr. Lana Dale Louie, MD

Dr. Lana Louie is a California native and grew up in Orange County where she attended the University of California at Irvine and received her Bachelor degree in Biology. She graduated from The Chicago Medical School in Illinois in 2000 and went on to complete a general surgery program at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio where she developed an interest in breast surgery. She was accepted into a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio in 2005. Her first position in private practice was in the state of Arizona for two years until she decided to return to California to be closer to her family. She is board certified in general surgery, an Associate in the American College of Surgeons and a Member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Dr. Louie is an active participant in the weekly Breast Cancer Tumor Board and is on the panel of the weekly Breast Cancer Pretreatment Conference. Her past publications include a study …investigating the usefulness of ductoscopy in patients with nipple discharge published in the American Journal of Surgery and the management of breast lesions using ultrasound that was published in the journal Surgery and presented at the 60th Annual Meeting of the Central Surgical Association. She has a special interest in inflammatory breast cancer and is devoted to patient care.
