"Doesn’t listen to you and pushes medication you don’t need. While she seemed nice enough, I initially sought help for ADHD symptoms but was pushed towards antidepressants, despite explaining that I was the happiest I’d ever been—I was just struggling to manage day-to-day tasks. She tested me for ADHD but dismissed the results, saying they looked too “patterned,” implying I was trying to manipulate the test to seem like I had ADHD and that I was drug-seeking. It made me feel really aweful about myself and I almost felt like she was right. It took me almost a year to get help from another provider. This provider prescribed ADHD medication, and it completely changed my life. My anxiety improved, and I’ve been able to manage my responsibilities much better. My new provider even mentioned that my symptoms, from childhood onward, were some of the clearest signs of ADHD she’d seen and thanked me for continuing to advocate for myself. KJeranne really didn’t listen to me at all. She seemed more focused on pushing a medication I didn’t need rather than acknowledging the clear and obvious symptoms I was experiencing. "
