"This was the 2nd time I tried a PCP from Kettering Health Network who seemed to think I should already know the doctor does not have time to answer questions from someone like me. Did I rub her wrong from the outset? Apparently. Either it was my manner of dress (at our 1st appt, I wore tights, while she was bundled up from head to toe, b c of her religion) or I was too outgoing. I did not expect our cultural backgrounds to interfere with our doctor-patient relationship, but now I would warn all female patients: dress modestly. At our 2nd appt when I asked questions about my care plan, she stared at her computer screen, wore an artificial smile, and exited the room without answering. Apparently I was too talkative. After I protested to her aide ("Should I go home and get on MyChart to ask her a question? I've been here over an hour!") she finally returned, still smiling artificially, and explained that Medicare won't pay for her to answer medical questions at a wellness exam. I had a ...
UTI! I rattled off 2 quick questions. She answered reluctantly. She prescribed an antibiotic for the UTI but her aide said she would not have the results of the urine culture for 72 hrs so this drug might not be the right one - but I should start taking it. ?? Only my pharmacist was able to convince me I should start taking the drug, which we both knew might make me sick. She misread the results of blood tests she had ordered and told me to stop taking a supplement, saying the results weren't in the target range altho the lab's report said it was right in the center of the range. She scheduled me to see an endocrinologist. No explanation of why. Blood tests said I had no problem. Everybody has a bad day, but each time I tried to ask questions, I was ignored. If she likes you, maybe she's a good doctor. But it seems she didn't like me, no matter how much I thanked her and told her I appreciated her. And she certainly was worried about how long it took to talk to me. That seems to be a theme with Kettering Health Network - they are breathing down their doctors' necks. "

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.
