Hello. I'm one of five pediatric hospitalists and the doctor in charge of pediatric walk-ins here at Ventura Canyon Medical Offices. I find great fulfillment in taking care of acutely ill children.
Biography
I came to Southern California in order to enjoy dependably nice weather after living in the Midwest for 25 years, where the weather is dependably bad. I also wanted to live in a progressive part of the country, where one has a chance to break free of the old established social orders prevalent in the rest of the U.S.
About my practice
I am a pediatric hospitalist, which means that my main responsibilities are to admit and begin treatment for children who need immediate hospitalization. I also do consultations in the Emergency Department and arrange patient transfers into and out of our hospital. I also take care of other pediatricians' patients in the hospital when those doctors are off duty.
How I thrive
I try to eat organic foods as much as possible. I play tennis …twice a week and also exercise using my treadmill and strength-training machine twice a week. I snow ski at least twice a year and really like to travel, as long as the accommodations are very comfortable - no safaris for me. Massages and meditation have been my lifesavers on many occasions.
