Dr. Karen Kaiser Coello

Dr. Karen Kaiser-Coello is originally from Belleville, Illinois where she attended high school and was very involved in both academics and sports. She was awarded the distinctive honor of St. Louis Post Dispatch Scholar-Athlete in 1976 and was also a member of the National Honor Society. Dr. Karen graduated from Illinois College in 1980 with a degree in both Biology and Chemistry; and was awarded the Gerald A Lucas Prize in Biological Science and the Dorothy Hopper Award in Athletics in1980. After two years of cancer research at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo., Dr. Karen was accepted into the Dental School at Washington University in 1982.
