She completed a general surgery residency at Georgetown University Medical Center and at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Dimitrova completed her cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at New York University School of Medicine in 2008, with specialization in minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Dimitrova currently serves as an attending cardiac surgeon at Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Dimitrova has particular clinical experience in minimally invasive approach for mitral valve repair, minimally invasive surgical treatment of double and triple valvular disease, minimally invasive aortic valve replacement.
