For over a decade, Dr. Zhitnitsky has taken part in various philanthropies, including donating services to the Doctor Donated Services Charity which provides dental care to those unprivileged. Additionally, the Dr. hosts scholarly competitions which encourages participants to better their lives through education, creativity, and the performance of …good deeds. The winners of the Good Deeds Competitions receive Ipads, along with other prizes. One of Dr. Zhitnitsky's signature methods of practice include sedation dentistry, which he has been doing for over ten years. This form of dentistry is suitable for those that have dental anxiety and fear of dental procedures. Clients are given pharmacological agents which relax the body, helping one to ease into the chair, making the experience go by at a glance. Upon completion, the client is left with minimal recollection of the procedure. For people with a sensitive gag reflex, and overall discomfort, sedation dentistry is the most suited fit. It is especially suitable for patients that are pressed for time, and need to address years of dental problems on short notice. Patients are kept completely conscious, and they are under constant supervision by the doctor, and trained staff.
