What is the experience like for patients that visit your office?
I am changing the way medicine is delivered. From a fee for service focused model to a Caring focused model. The focus is on you and getting you back to your Best Life Now.

I feel that creating a caring focused model provides value that people are truly looking for. It goes without saying patients will get superior quality care, but they will also get the connection that they are craving. This is just one of our beliefs.

A caring model creates a space for a patient to be themselves and express themselves. You will feel like your unique you. You are not a number, you are not the same as the last patient. At my office your carpal tunnel syndrome(or insert your diagnosis) is different than any other patient’s. That’s because you are unique. How you use your hands, your life experiences, your work, your family, your desires are yours and yours alone.

My experience in a large orthopedic group is that the treatment can get watered down. A patient can be treated as just another broken wrist, not as “Jennifer Shure”, who has 3 children, husband and who works, who may have stress issues, or dietary concerns or vitamin deficiencies.

I want you to know that your life and your circumstances are factors that we consider when planning the best treatment options for you.

Do you have any stories where a patient had an exceptional experience with you or your team?
A recent patient commented after an office visit.

“Just wanted to THANK YOU for being able to put years and years of experience/knowledge into words yesterday for “Victor” to understand the compounded nature of his injury. I appreciate your honesty & wisdom. I have 5 kids—multiple breaks and injuries causing us to visit many doctors/specialists over the years and I personally just want to say I have never experienced this caliber of genuine care before. You have a gift...thanks for putting in the time, doing the work, creating a space and then sharing it with others. The atmosphere in your office was different in an AMAZING way. That says a lot about who you are as a person.“

Anything interesting about yourself that you’d like to share with your prospective patients?
In Dr Vella's spare time he enjoys exploring his artistic talents.  His artwork won several awards when he was younger, now he enjoys expressing art creating abstract paintings.  He believes this innate artistic ability is what allows him to provide specialized surgical care with superior results.

If you had to select a quote to represent yourself as a physician / provider to your patients, what would it be?  It can be your own personal quote or a quote that you resonate with.
Our caring environment, comprehensive treatment alternatives and leading edge surgical techniques provide each patient with a unique pathway to get back to their best life now.

"Doctor Vella performed hand surgery on my left hand (dominant hand). He removed 2 bones under my thumb and replaced the bones with a tendon from my forearm. This is a major surgery with about an 8-month recovery. For me, I had been in pain for over 4 years before deciding to have this surgery. Also, I decided to have the surgery during the COVID crisis. His office was exceptionally good (COVID ..."
