OVERVIEW
Dr. Joseph "Trip" Schweighardt grew up in Wayne, NJ and, in his early years, was involved in local educational and community programs including PAL sports and the Boy Scouts. He became an Eagle Scout during his sophomore year of high school. After graduating from Newark Academy, Trip completed his B.S. in Biology at Dartmouth College in 1980.
Trip went on to earn his Doctoral of Medical Dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry in 1984. He then attended a one year General Practice Residency at St. Clare's Hospital in Schenectady, NY. In the hospital, the focus was placed in treating medically compromised patients and dental and medical emergencies. He continues to use this knowledge in his practice each day.
Today, Trip continues to update and expand his knowledge with continuing education courses that keep him abreast of the most recent advances in dental education and procedures.
