Spotlight On Dr. Bolil
Dr. Joseph M. Bolil, Our Friendly, Hi-Tech Neighborhood Dentist
By Gail Williams
Not many high school students know what they want to do with their lives and actually make it happen. Joe Bolil was one of those exceptions; he wanted dentistry as his lifelong profession. When asked why, he said he admired his family dentist, never had a bad experience, and found his career interesting.
For 20 years, Dr. Bolil has based his career and practice on compassion for the patient, acknowledging that a trip to the dentist is not considered fun. Dr. Bolil employs several methods to fulfill the goal of making his patients as comfortable as possible. His faith helps him focus on the patient’s need for help.
Continuing education is crucial. He supplements his degree from Georgetown University and residency at a VA hospital with seminars, conferences, memberships in professional organizations, coaching programs, hands-on class training, and professional journals. He also …takes business classes to help run his practice efficiently and maintain a positive attitude in order to ensure that patients are receiving good care.
Dr. Bolil and his staff employ most of the latest technologies in his office, including digital imaging, intra-oral cameras, Brite Smile whitening system, and air abrasion. These techniques and systems offer advanced looks at your new smile, in-office teeth whitening, non-drilling for small cavities, and more comfortable procedures.
Several years ago, Dr. Bolil moved here to be closer to his practice in Nokesville. He has a wonderful, well-trained staff, including two hygienists with a combined 26 years experience and continuing education, three chair-side assistants, and two office administrators. He lives in Bristow with his wife Janine and their three children.
After all these years, Dr. Bolil is still very enthusiastic about his field. "I graduated from dental school 20 years ago this June. I find dentistry even more exciting and enjoyable than when I graduated. With technology advances and materials, we’re able to do more to help people keep and save their teeth, and change people’s smiles so they can be thrilled with the way they look."
