Dr. Imig was born and raised in Iowa. He is married and has three children. His leisure time interests center around outdoor activities, especially skiing (the Loveland Basin Ski Patrol), road biking and hiking.
Medical Training and Specialty
After Graduating with honors from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dr. Imig received his Medical Degree from the University of Iowa in 1971. He served his internship and residency at the University of Colorado Medical center in Denver. After a two-year tour of duty as Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the U.S. Army Hospital on Fort Polk, Louisiana, he returned to Colorado and joined the Boulder Medical Center in 1977. Dr. Imig regularly participates in postgraduate courses to keep up with advances in medicine. He has a special interest in the challenges of the perimenopause and menopause.
