Dr. Hennecken earned his undergraduate degree from Saint Johns University in New York and his medical degree from S.U.N.Y. Health Science Center in Brooklyn, Ny. He completed his internship and residency at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Bronx Municipal Hospital, where he was chief resident. Dr. Hennecken completed two fellowships, one in cardiology and one in interventional cardiology at Yale University. Prior to joining Piedmont Heart, Dr. Hennecken was a consultant at the Center for Primary Care in Augusta, Ga. He was previously employed with Piedmont Heart as a staff cardiologist. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve Commission for 15 years, serving two of those in the U.S. Army Active Duty. Dr. Hennecken holds a license from the National Board of Echocardiography and the American Board of Clinical Lipidology.
