OVERVIEW
For the past seven years Dr. Carter has been a part-time faculty member at the University of Kansas Medical Center as the orthodontic consultant to the Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Anomaly Team. He serves on this team as an Associate Professor of Surgery in the department of plastic surgery.
Community Service
Dr. Carter has been involved with the Boy Scouting program in the metropolitan area for over thirty years. He and his son are Eagle Scouts. He is in both honorary scouting societies - Order of the Arrow and Mic-O-Say. He has been a cubmaster, an assistant scoutmaster, a campmaster, and a scoutmaster for Kansas City's contingent of scouts that attended the National Boy Scout Jamboree in 1997. He has been the recipient of the Order of Merit by the Heart of America Council of Boy Scouts of America.
