Dr. Jody Lyn Pinkerton, MD

Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, Dr. Jody Pinkerton lived there until graduation from the University of Nebraska with her BS degree in Biology. Dr. Pinkerton worked as an X-ray technician for 3 years in Oklahoma before attending the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, where she received her MD degree in 1993. She did her internship and OB/GYN residency training at the University of Texas Medical School - Hermann Hospital, finishing in 1997. Dr. Pinkerton began her practice in January 1998. She joined Southwest Ob/Gyn in October 1998 and became a partner in 2000. Dr. Pinkerton received many awards and honors during her training, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Pinkerton and her husband, Ben, have 3 children. Her outside interests include spending time with her family, swimming, cooking and exercising. Dr. Pinkerton is certified by American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is a member of the Harris County Medical Society.
