Family Physician Jennifer Leepard, MD was afraid of water when she was young. So, what did she do about it? She not only overcame her fear by learning to swim, she also became a lifeguard so that she could help save others. For her, helping others isn’t just a job, it’s central to who she is. This theme of helping others continues with her work at P3 Health Partners, where she specializes in family medicine and is inspired by the medical group’s emphasis on physician leadership and putting the needs of patients first. Dr. Leepard has known that she wanted to be a doctor since the third grade. Now she encourages her own daughter to follow her dreams. Dr. Leepard spends most her free time attending her daughter’s acting performances and listening to her play the cello. A passion for music runs in the family — Dr. Leepard also plays several instruments and composes music in her spare time. Dr. Leepard received her medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio and did …her medical internship and residency in Family Medicine from the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She also holds a graduate degree in Organic Chemistry from Ohio State University in Columbus and has a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Leepard maintains memberships with the Academy of Family Physicians and the Nevada Academy of Family Physicians and has also held several board positions with the Diagnostic Center of Medicine. She’s served as a physician volunteer at Spring Valley Hospital Health Fairs, where she counseled the public on osteoporosis screening, hypertension, and preventative health care and volunteered as a member of “Doctors of the Night” to provide free medical care for homeless and runaway children.
