Dr. Rosensweig is board certified with the American Board of Pediatrics; sub boarded in Pediatric Gastroenterology, and is the President of Pediatric Gastroenterology Consultants, P.C., with nine offices throughout Colorado and Wyoming. Board certification requires a long term commitment to stay up to date with the advances in the specialty, to take tests periodically, and to improve how we practice medicine.
Dr. Rosensweig attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and completed his residency in Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and then completed a 3 year fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at Johns Hopkins University Hospital in 1995. Dr. Rosensweig served as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics until 1998 at Hahnemann School of Medicine, in Philadelphia, PA, and then moved to Colorado.
He started his solo practice in Denver in 2002, specializing in the care of infants, children and young adults, with gastrointestinal issues. The most common complaints that bring patients to see Dr. Rosensweig include infants with regurgitation, pain, feeding difficulties, poor weight gain; children with abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, stooling difficulties; teens with abdominal pain, swallowing difficulties and nausea. Specific conditions that are frequently managed include Crohn's disease, Celiac disease, Ulcerative colitis, eosinophilic esophagitis, and other inflammatory conditions of the GI tract.
Dr. Rosensweig, known to many of his patients as “Dr. Jeffâ€, travels throughout the state to care for patients in a variety of communities, merging old fashioned clinical skills with high tech tools to define and treat a variety of medical conditions. Traveling to offices around the state benefits families, so they don't need to travel so far to see a specialist. Dr. Jeff can meet with physicians and other providers and bring updates and information on best practices. “I have found that traveling to the more remote areas puts me in touch with amazing patients and their familiesâ€. Dr. Rosensweig has been married for 12 years, and has two delightful children. He enjoys many outdoor activities including hiking, biking, tennis and has a passion for cooking as well as spending time with his family.
