"Doctor Hurh is amazing! I was in total pain and he had the patience and knowledge to remove the pain. He communicate extremely well under the procedure if needed. Few doctors I trust but with Doctor Hurh to me he is the real deal! Bob Bates"

"I found Dr Hurh to be very knowledgeable, compassionate and honest….. I have had 2 cervical injections by him which totally alleviated my neck pain. He is now working on my lower back and I have had good results. I don’t understand the negative reviews and I feel they were posted by the same unhappy patient….which skews the ratings"

"I have been seeing Dr. Hurh for several years for spinal issues. He is direct, informative, and gives me information for me to make decisions. Procedures done have no surprises as he explains what he doing and what I can expect. He's the best!"

"Dr. Hurh is professional and compassionate. The pain work (nerve ablation) accomplished mush to relieve my symptoms."

"Dr. Hurht is a pathetic excuse for a physician. If this man ever actually took his Hippocratic oath--something I sincerely doubt--he's long since forgotten every single word of it. Seek legitimate medical help elsewhere; you'll find none of it from Hurht."

"Hurh is a completely worthless physician and human being. "Pain management" is the absolute last thing in the world you can expect to come out of seeing him. The extent of (or rather, the dearth of) his medical knowledge is a joke--an extremely bad one. He thrives on "treating" patients who have little-to-no medical backgrounds of their own--exactly because he knows such patients will never attempt to challenge him when his medical opinions are questionable or flat out wrong (which is unnervingly often). The man is plainly incompetent, and hopelessly under-qualified to medically treat anyone for anything. Full stop. He is a charlatan in the truest sense of the word, and he absolutely REEKS of (hilariously-obvious) confidence issues--issues he simply hopes that the rest of his flock of uneducated, cherry-picked patients won't pick up on...and in the event that someone *should* happen to notice, he simply reverts to talking over you and literally bragging out loud about his medical degree, ...
mid-appointment. He actually believes this is an appropriate response to any and every health-related question thrown his way, and it's magnificently pathetic. Hurh is a sad little man with a massively overinflated sense of self importance, and when challenged with anything resembling a difficult medical question, he will choose--every single time--to hide behind his degree, rather than engage his brain that he might actually help you. "This physician is a waste of space. He's a pompous little man who massively overestimates his own intelligence and scope of expertise. He did not treat or manage my pain--he only exacerbated it. He's terrible at listening, worse at explaining, impossible to get ahold of, and inexcusably lacking in knowledge directly pertinent to the current state of his field of practice. He exhibited some of the most ethically- and professionally-questionable behavior I've ever personally experienced from a physician. He also flat out lied his way through the entire 'after-visit summary' of our final appointment together in a blatant attempt to save face and shift blame towards me for his failure--all of this AFTER I had already told him I was unsatisfied with his care and wouldn't be seeing him again, mind you. Yes, he was that petty. Definitely make an appointment to see Hurh if the integrity of a wet paper bag is a quality you're searching for in a physician. Expect to manage your own pain."

"This doctor is entirely worthless, and I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy."

"Seeing Jay Hurh was the single worst patient experience I've ever had with any doctor in my life. Full Stop. My initial visit was friendly enough, and had actually left me feeling somewhat hopeful. From that point forward, with every new appointment or attempt to communicate with him or his office via phone that would pass, several unfortunate observations/red flags became increasingly apparent to me. First and foremost--and I simply cannot stress this enough--these people absolutely do not care about managing your pain. At all. They do not return your calls, and communication between patient and physician/front office is nonexistent. Should you happen to have any questions for Hurh about your health, or any issues with medications, for example, expect to wait until your next scheduled appointment with him to get any semblance of an answer...just don't hold your breath for a good one...or one that makes rational sense. Secondly (and far more disappointingly), over the course of these ...
past 6 (entirely wasted) months or so of 24/7/365, non-stop, excruciating spinal pain (which actually worsened considerably under Hurh's "care"), my most recent (and absolutely my final) appointment with him proved to me beyond the shadow of a doubt that the man is a charlatan, pure and simple--and one who doesn't take too kindly to being corrected, or asked difficult questions, at that. I'm quite certain he probably gets away with delivering half-a**ed, bullsh*t medical answers all the time to his patients with no medical or scientific backgrounds to speak of and who don't know any better...but I just so happen to have exactly such a background. I have no issues asking more difficult or in-depth questions of my physician than what they might typically hear on a daily basis...and I shouldn't have any--my health is important to me! The way he fielded said questions was really something, though--something that I could only call positively pathetic. He absolutely knew it too...and well, talk about your fragile egos, my goodness. His strategy VERY quickly shifted to changing topics, and then just as quickly, it shifted to simply interrupting me and talking over me whenever I opened my mouth. By my appointment's end, this clown had actually told me "Well, I actually have a degree in this stuff, so..." as if I didn't also have one myself (and apparently from a far better school, it would seem) I can honestly say I've never once in my life experienced a medical doctor trying to brag about his credentials to a patient. It was one of the saddest and most childish displays of anything I've ever witnessed. Unprofessional, unresponsive, uncaring, pompous, thinks he's a whole lot smarter than he actually is, intellectually dishonest, generally dishonest...but most-importantly of all: TOTALLY INEPT at treating/managing pain. If you're in debilitating pain every day like I am, I implore you to avoid this utter joke of a man at all costs. I just suffered in agony for 6 months while watching my condition deteriorate, all because the man has no idea how to do his job. Don't make the same mistake I did. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
