"I was in ER June 21, 2024 with severe pain under ribs. Dr Kahn ordered several tests and meanwhile treated me for the pain. I had Pancreatitis and needed possible ERCP and definite gall bladder removal. In my state it was considered too high risk to remove the gall bladder until I was stabilized. Dr. Kahn was very thorough on the diagnosis and then spent 2 1/2 hours working on getting me admitted to a hospital in Boston that would better be able to deal with my condition. He was as pleased as I when he got me into Tufts. I found him to be professional, skilled and kind. So glad he and the ER team at Cape Cod Hospital looked after me so well."

"Recently spent New Year’s Eve at the ER with my 91 year old mother who had tripped and struck her head on a piece of furniture resulting in a large gash over her eye. Dr. Kahn was very kind and explained all procedures prior to stitching her wound. We told him we were going to critique his handiwork when he was done! I think he appreciated the lighthearted banter on that busy night. Thank you Dr. Kahn!"

"Dr. Kahn is the WORST doctor I have ever seen. I called my PCPs office with extreme pelvic pain and they said I should go to the Emergency Room- it was a weekend and I needed to be seen. Dr. Kahn didn’t ask me a single question about my history. He couldn’t find the cyst after 2 seconds so he asked me show him where it was (very awkward). He didn’t perform a full pelvic exam nor did he take a vaginal swab. He told me I do have a cyst but I should go see an OBGYN on Tuesday (Monday was a holiday) to get the cyst drained. He said he could do it but it wouldn’t be done well. At this point there was no chance I was letting him drain the cyst anyway but he didn’t even offer to call OB or general surgery. I left with prescription for a yeast infection (which we don’t know I have bc he didn’t do a swab) and pain meds. I am allergic to one medication and at first he tried to prescribe me that medication. Overall he made me feel like an idiot who doesn’t matter. AVOID if at all possible!!!"

"I came to the ER because my incision (had surgery on the 9th) opened up a little and started bleeding, I couldn't stop it so that's why I came here. In walks Dr. Kahn he ask me why I was here I told him his response was weren't you here 4 days ago for something else to do with the surgery and we told you if you had any other issues you need to go to the hospital where you had the surgery (Boston over 1 hour drive) OK Asshole can you figure this out I'm bleeding it wont stop I'm pretty concerned due to the fact it was micro surgery you know veins & arteries being detached and reattached!!! I believe the safest and smartest thing for me to do would be come to my local ER to make sure it's safe to travel that distance. Dr. Kahn just came in to tell me the ultra sound dosen't show any fluid pockets but it does show something but they can't tell if it's from the surgery or if it's a mass he goes on to say maybe a malignancy it could be a reoccurrence of the cancer. This man is a jerk to ...
say something like that. Especially since he said he's not familiar with the surgery and wasn't sure what he was looking at on the ultra sound. He ends with Its Probably Nothing!!! His bedside manner is horrible he is very arrogant and seems to lack compassion I believe he could use a class in how to treat people with respect and compassion. Cape Cod Hospital needs to pay attention to this doctors interactions with the patients and reprimand him if need be. "

Data Transparency and Trust: Understanding WebMD Doctor Listings and Reviews

We know that finding the right doctor or provider is important to your health. That’s why we want to ensure you have confidence in the provider profiles and listings you see on WebMD Care. Our provider data is sourced from the physicians themselves as well as publicly available databases. Any doctor or provider who claims their profile by verifying themselves can update their information and provide additional data on their specialties, education, accepted insurances, conditions they treat, and procedures they perform.

All the physician and provider reviews on WebMD Care are provided by users just like you. Knowing these reviews provide insight into how other patients feel about a doctor, we maintain internal policies and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of all reviews. Providers are not able to remove or modify reviews on their own. Reviews can only be removed after an internal review by our customer service team.

We value your input and encourage you to reach out to our support team if you encounter any issues.
