"Dr Bessey is a fantastic Spine surgeon. He made me feel very comfortable. He took the time to point out on my mri the cyst I had and how it was effecting my sciatica (to the point I couldn't get out of bed in the morning - let alone walk) He made sure I understood what he would do, possible issues that may arise and how everything would be handled. I felt so comfortable and also trusting of him that I cancelled a 2nd opinion I had lined up. His office was very easy to work with. Everyone was very nice. At the hospital he saw me before the surgery and made sure I was comfortable. The hospital experience at Salem Hospital was great. Again everyone who was involved with me couldn't have been any nicer. Dr Bessey was incredible and I have recommended him to others. He again took time and made me comfortable on follow up visits. His PA's, nurses etc were all great to work with. I could easily email them and got replies right away. Do not hesitate to go to Dr Bessey. He is fantastic"

"I would give 0 stars if I could because my mother had an appointment regarding her spinal cysts and chronic back pain, but all he had to say was that it's normal for her age because he has felt back pain from long shifts too. He did not listen to her at all and ignored her previous test results about possibly needing surgery. He dismissed everything she said as if she knew nothing about her own body. An absolute disgrace to the field with no knowledge and useless opinions."
