Dr. Jashodeep Datta, MD

Dr. Datta joined the faculty at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2019. He graduated Summa cum Laude from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY and attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN where he earned his MD and was inducted in the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) National Honor Society. He completed his residency in General Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, during which he completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in tumor immunology in the laboratory of Brian Czerniecki. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he focused on hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and gastric malignancies.  Dr. Datta is a surgeon-scientist, and divides his time equally between his clinical activities and basic/translational laboratory research. Dr. Datta is a board certified surgeon by the American Board of Surgery. He sees patients at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center near downtown Miami and at Lennar Foundation Medical Center in Coral Gables, FL. He operates at University of Miami Hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
