"My husband and I agreed that this was our best medical appointment ever. And trust me, we have a ton of doctor appointments every year with our kids' health needs.
First, I'd like to share that Ms. Walsh was a star in her own right. She was kind, caring and beyond helpful in a way that it felt like being treated like family. I felt confident she was going to help us get the best information and help we could for our son's health concern. Also, she was attentive, personable and amazingly responsive (unbelievably fast in communication). One of the many things that we really appreciated that Ms. Walsh did was she said in her email back to me after the meeting that If we ever have a question or concern to reach out.
Dr. Thompson is a rock star in his field, based on my extensive research in finding who we considered the best doctor to see our son for a second opinion. So, to be able to get to see him for our son really helped us feel like we were getting the absolute best opinion for our ...son's health Issue considering Dr. Thompson's specialization, research-based knowledge, and skill set especially regarding his use of cutting-edge methods for treatment. In fact, if Dr. Thompson thought our son needed a surgical intervention we would have wanted Dr. Thompson to be our son's surgeon.
Now, aside from the strong skills and knowledge pertaining to Dr. Thompson, it is also important to share his personality and engagement style with us and our son during our meeting. Basically, Dr. Thompson could teach other doctors about how to best put patients and parents at ease. He never made us feel rushed, he explained everything so we all could understand the level of concern we should have for our son's pfo and gave us straightforward guidance and treatment advice. Every question we had was answered clearly. He was terrific at building a relationship quickly with our 13 year old son in talking to him about his interests, this pfo and any concerns.
Overall, Ms. Walsh and Dr. Thompson are a dynamic duo and it is clear that we were lucky to be able to have an appointment with such high caliber professionals regarding a high-level concern we had for our son. "Read more
