Dr. Flaggert received his D.D.S. degree in 1978 from The University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio, graduating in the top of his class. He then completed a one-year general practice residency at Carswell Air Force Base in 1979. Dr. Flaggert completed his residency training in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at David Grant Medical Center in 1985. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force and during that time spent 6 years on the teaching staff at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. Â He retired from the military in 1994 and started his private practice in Austin, Texas.
He has written many professional articles and has been published multiple times in the prestigious Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Flaggert is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a Fellow of The American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Texas Society of OMFS, and the Southwest Society of OMFS. Dr. …Flaggert is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and the Capital Area Dental Society.
Dr. Flaggert and his lovely wife, Lisa, enjoy many of the great outdoor activities that Austin has to offer. You will often find him swimming at Barton Creek pool.
