"I started seeing Dr Thorla around 2013 for a nightmare of a medical journey. At 1st he was amazing. Found a rare skin condition, and treated me. I continued to get worse and to receive treatment. As a general dermatologist the guy is good. I needed help. I became sicker and sicker. Then frequently hospitalized. FYI no one else in the area was better. I came home to Missouri to manage what might be left of my life. I needed assistance walking. I went to my family MD just for pain management and infection control. My MD looked at me and said, “WTH is that? (My body). My MD started bloodwork and even took samples to look at under his own microscope as well as sending them to a lab. I was referred to a nearby dermatologist. My MD DIAGNOSED me. Then the Derm confirmed. Tomorrow I receive my 17th Chemo treatment as a result of this. My MD got it! Y’all this man is/was teaching at LSU. I live in podunk Missouri and my MD got it! Think on that. "
