"I only gave this provider one star because I couldn’t give her zero star. I had an appointment with her at 9:30 am and I didn’t get seen until 10 am. I was questioned for 15 minutes in the lobby about my personal information.I received a package to fill out prior to my appointment and the information that was asked in the lobby could have been included in that package. I walked into the office upset and they took my bp and it was hypertensive ( my bp runs in the low 90s/60 normally). No retake of my bp was offered. Dr. Nguyen came in the room at 10 am with a student and didn’t asked me if I wanted a student in the exam room. Instead I was told “ I have a medical student “, as if my permission was never require. I was a student at one time and realize the need to learn but patient’s permission needs to be acquire. During the first five minutes, Dr. Nguyen was condescending with every statement that she asked me. I’m a family nurse practitioner and I am very aware of my body and health. ...She was very rude. Providers are supposed to create a trusting relationship with their patients to facilitate effective and quality care. Dr. Nguyen created an environment in the exam room of mistrust for me. I promptly asked her “ Are you this condescending with all your patient? “ I left the appointment without being seen and she told me ok. Interpersonal skills can benefit Dr Nguyen. Her
current skills aren’t providing quality care to her patients. I wouldn’t want her as my provider. She can benefit from a course in cultural competency and crucial conversation. I wouldn’t be surprise if she has poor follow up and compliance with her patients . I was upset not only for myself but for her other patients that might not have a medical background and have been treated with disregard. "Read more
